How do I substitute fresh fruit for freeze-dried fruit?

Using bulk dried mango is a breeze. While you may need to experiment to find the ideal ratio for your recipes, in general, ¼ cup of freeze-dried fruit equals 1 cup of fresh fruit. Start there, and then simply add or subtract small amounts until you find the sweet spot. If you’re brewing, drop the fruit pieces in during the fermentation process.

Is there sugar added to Fierce Fruit’s freeze-dried fruit chunks?

No, we never add sugar or other sweeteners to our products. Mangoes naturally contain sugar, so these dried mango pieces aren’t sugar-free. However, you can feel good about serving your customers pure, mango goodness with no additional sweeteners.

Can freeze-dried fruit be rehydrated?

Yes, our dried mango will naturally rehydrate when added to liquids or moisture-rich recipes. You can also soak the dried mango in water to rehydrate it before adding it to the recipe. This process usually only takes a few minutes.
